Project Description

PROJECT DETAILS

Our goals in this west county Victorian renovation were to honor the setting, architecture and the needs of a growing family, creating a new kitchen, dining area and family space while solving problems created by an awkward previous remodel.

The long, slim kitchen and adjacent family area were opened and combined to create a dining space. The country setting is reflected in the White Oak of the cabinets and exposed header, the dark ash hardware and blue/green cabinets play modern counterpoint; the marble hex-tile backsplash and the wire cabinet inserts are a firm nod to the period of the house.
