The Skikos motto is “complex litigation doesn’t need to be complicated,” and the interior design of their offices needed to embody this statement in physical form.
When we took on this project, we decided to use simple, raw materials, such as steel and locally sourced wood. The modern but timeless design theme was “elements” found in nature. We used sage green paint, wooden furniture, and steel planters to house loads of fresh plants.
We planned for public spaces for attorneys and clients to meet in larger groups, and we carved out cozy corners for intimate meetings or for an employee to read their latest brief. In each of these areas, practical but beautiful materials were used such as a grey flannel tweed for the swivel chairs, and a cognac leather for the sofa.
